Rainbow moonstone is absolutely one of my favorites in terms of jewelry gemstones. Danburite is among my top three favorites. As far as collecting quartz, Arkansas quartz is definitely one of my favorite locales. This set I am so happy with. In fact I actually made a set of earrings for me and I'm currently working on a matching pendant so that I have one. What do you think of these? Is it something you would want to see more of?

EDUCATION THURSDAY: PERIDOT & LUDWIGITE I personally used to hate peridot. It was a stone that I found pretty ugly, if I'm being honest. Over the past year; however, I have found myself growing much more fond of the gem. What initially captivated me was peridot with inclusions of ludwigite. There's a lot of sellers out there that are selling the peridot as "rutile peridot", but that is not what it is. [It is my understanding that rutile developing inside peridot is highly unlikely because the growth conditions required for each mineral are not compatible. Further, G&G (SUMMER 1983) indicated that tests were conducted on peridot specimens at that time and the inclusion of rutile was essentially ruled out.] Ludwigite a magnesium-iron borate mineral and is considered a rare mineral. Ludwigite-vonsenite in peridot from Pakistan was discovered in 1994; a location for which the @giagrams (G&G Winter 2004) reported is the only locale in the world producing this duo. Due to its rarity (and other factors, I'm sure), ludwigite in peridot specimens, gemstones, & jewelry come with a high price tag. (Personally I've seen cut gems alone that are well-over $5,000!) The gemstone in this photograph is one of my gems that have a lower amount of ludwigite inclusions, but I definitely have others that really showcase the incredible inclusions. I would say that if you like unusual and/or rare gems, definitely check this stone out, even if it's not with me. Hope this info was useful! You guys, I can't begin to thank you enough for all of your support over these past few years. I truly never thought that I would be able to grow this much, especially in such a short period of time. While my prices are not the same as they were when I first started, I hope you are able to see the improvement in quality of gems and materials that I now use. Without you guys I wouldn't have been able to come as far as I have, nor would I be able to even dream of finding gems in the quality that I have been finding. I know that times are tough right now and so I just wanted to say thank you to everybody who continues to support me. It really helps when you show up to my lives, tag friends, and make referrals. I have a planned giveaway in the works and will be posting that starting June 1st. It will include collaborations from few other small businesses and I'm very excited about that.
