Weekly Spotlight: "Enchanted"
From Chan: "I've had this cab for a hot minute because I find it hard to come by enhydros (at least, ones that I like enough to snag). That said, I didn't remember all the details about this one other than it had this killer enhydro dead center in the front. I sat down with it and was originally thinking I was going to create an "Escape" collection design for it but I needed the top to be something a little more special. So I sat and played quite a bit and ended up coming up with this absolutely killer design! I struggled with what stone to pair with it for a full day, even taking to asking in my IG stories for input. Many suggestions were given and one person suggested even leaving it as is. I adjusted the design a little bit and BOOM! There she was! I was absolutely enchanted by this design. (No really, some kind of fancy music was even playing through my head when I sat back and looked at this as a whole!). During the live, someone pointed out that there was another bubble in the cab. We flipped it around and lo and behold, it was a second enhydro! I'm so excited for this to have found a home, and know, too, that it will forever be engrained in my memory."
The Artist Behind the Designs
Greetings! Most of you know me as "Chan." A small glimpse into myself: I've loved jewelry and making jewelry ever since I was a young girl. Wire wrapping has become especially enjoyable to me and my hope is to create pieces that you will love enough to take home and add to your collection.
Thank you so much for supporting me and my family by continuing to buy, browse, and share the jewelry I create!

![EDUCATION THURSDAY: PERIDOT & LUDWIGITE
I personally used to hate peridot. It was a stone that I found pretty ugly, if I'm being honest. Over the past year; however, I have found myself growing much more fond of the gem. What initially captivated me was peridot with inclusions of ludwigite. There's a lot of sellers out there that are selling the peridot as "rutile peridot", but that is not what it is. [It is my understanding that rutile developing inside peridot is highly unlikely because the growth conditions required for each mineral are not compatible. Further, G&G (SUMMER 1983) indicated that tests were conducted on peridot specimens at that time and the inclusion of rutile was essentially ruled out.]
Ludwigite a magnesium-iron borate mineral and is considered a rare mineral. Ludwigite-vonsenite in peridot from Pakistan was discovered in 1994; a location for which the @giagrams (G&G Winter 2004) reported is the only locale in the world producing this duo. Due to its rarity (and other factors, I'm sure), ludwigite in peridot specimens, gemstones, & jewelry come with a high price tag. (Personally I've seen cut gems alone that are well-over $5,000!)
The gemstone in this photograph is one of my gems that have a lower amount of ludwigite inclusions, but I definitely have others that really showcase the incredible inclusions. I would say that if you like unusual and/or rare gems, definitely check this stone out, even if it's not with me.
Hope this info was useful!
